Evergreen Line launches a new service on the Asia - Europe
Evergreen confirmed that the new SEM service between Asia and North Europe starts this week.
The service will be operated in partnership with line Hanjin with Evergreen simultaneously cease to participate in a joint service with the line CSCL CEM/AEX1.
This actually left alone to operate SSCLv AEX1, along with a slot operators and ZIM CMACGM. Thus for CSCLsituatsiya back to last year, prior to the merger with the service CEMEvergrina.
As a result, the aggregate market returns a new full-service, at a time when he is there the least popular. At the same carrying capacity on the Asia - Europe will increase by 4% with virtually zero growth of the market and only a low degree of use of the fleet - about 84% - in this area.
No surprise here that ocean carriers are not able to implement the previously announced increase of freight rates from August 1.
Most likely that Evergreen could not find a better use of their new vessels with a capacity of 8,000 TEU, is taken into operation. According to the latest schedules, new service CEM (CUSu Hanjin) will continue to go to Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantyan, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Hong Kong and Shanghai, using nine vessels. Evergreen will provide five of them with an average capacity of 8,000 teu and two more - with a capacity of 10,100 teu (chartered in ZimLine), Hanjinpostavit two ships with a capacity of 10,000 teu.
Since Hanjin has been part of the alliance CKYH, which under some service also works Evergreen, is not difficult to assume that the other members of the alliance - Coscon, KLinei YangMing-slots also take advantage of the new service.
Plans for future CSCL information not available but according to available sources AEX1 service will remain unchanged.
